Et tu, Pace-e?

Dear Readers,

Over the weekend, our government laid the groundwork for our upcoming war with Iraq. They showed that Iran is supporting the Iraqi insurgents. With this evidence, we now have our "16 words" to justify taking down Tehran! Once we tidy up Baghdad, it's just a hop, skip, and a jump over the border.

Yet some seem not to trust our divinely-inspired President to be truthful with us in trying to justify a war. They claim we were somehow lied to about Iraq. You know how the west-coast, liberal elite, truth-mongerers can be.

Now, however, even the Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Peter Pace is questioning the veracity of these claims. Doesn't he know that we're at war? Why is he undermining our troops? This is war - support the President, or get the hell out of dodge!

Gen. Pace, why do you hate America?

I'll speak on behalf of every sane person in the free world: we don't need another stinkin' war. Iran would be ten times worse than Iraq, Vietnam, and any other bloody war in world history combined! Sorry I have to depart from the standard thought pattern, but enough is enough..

Personally, I think that had Iraq had gone better for Bush and/or there was other concrete evidence against Iran and/or Bush's approval ratings were still high (maybe not 9/11 high, but above the 60th percentile), he could sell an Iranian war to the world better, if that's his intentions, but doing that now would bring his approval ratings to historical lows.

Sorry to say this, but with General Pace questioning this evidence, I have truly underestimated his work. To question your government is patriotic, to not question your government is unpatriotic. I have heard that quote before, didn't Benjamin Franklin once say it?
